Frequently asked questions

Moldi is an app for doing things with other people. You discover local or online activities in your city, join a plan or send a request to join, chat with the group, and create your own plans.

Moldi is only for people who are 18 or older. You enter your date of birth when you sign up, and it's used to confirm your age.

Yes. The current app has no subscriptions, in-app purchases or premium features. If you subscribed to an earlier version of Moldi, see Pricing for how to manage that subscription.

Anything people want company for: football, basketball, running, cycling, hiking, board games, gaming, language exchange, coffee, cinema, concerts, photography, study sessions, volunteering and more. Plans are either in person or online.

Open a plan and tap Join. If the host approves requests, tap Request to join instead; the host accepts or declines it, and you can withdraw your request at any time. Once you're in, you're in the plan's group chat.

Tap Create a plan on the Plans tab. Choose the activity, a title, the date and time, a public place or neighbourhood (or online), the group size and who can join. Requests to review appear in My Plans.

You choose your city from a list, and Moldi shows upcoming plans in that city plus online plans. Plans in the activities you picked are shown first. You can change your city at any time; Moldi doesn't ask for your device location.

No. A profile photo is optional. If you add one, it helps your group recognise you when you meet. You can add up to five photos and remove them at any time.

People in the same plan see your name and profile photo, if you've added one. Your date of birth isn't shown to anyone. Before someone joins a plan, they see how many people are going, not who.

Use the menu on a plan to report it, or the menu next to a person or their message to report or block them. When you block someone, you won't see each other's plans or messages. More on the Safety page.

Only if you turn them on. When you first open the app you can choose "Product analytics" (Google Firebase Analytics and in-app usage events) and "Marketing & attribution" (AppsFlyer) separately. Both are off unless you switch them on, and you can change them any time in Settings → Manage privacy choices. Crash reports that help us fix problems are always sent; they don't include your account or a screenshot. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Moldi is made for Android and iPhone. The Get Moldi page shows whether the Plans version is available on Google Play and the App Store right now. The app is available in English and Turkish.

Earlier Android versions of Moldi had a different experience. Update the app from Google Play to get the Plans version once it's released there; the Get Moldi page shows its current status.

Go to Settings in the app and choose Delete Account, or email an account deletion request to support. See Account and data deletion for details.
